“ We had car troubles today and the man running the place came and helped us out and was so kind great people ”
“ Dixie's Cafe is truly a special place along highway 126. The food is excellent, and the prices are fair. The service is welcoming, and the quiet inside the cafe is great if you're looking for a peaceful escape. ”
“ The wife and I were hungry leaving the University graduation. I was driving and also navigating. I chose this place from the reviews. We both made it out alive and we didn’t get sick. She threatened to divorce me after insisting we stay long enough to order and eat. At that point I saw the last review was about 6 years old. Men, let your wives pick the spot and you focus on the road. ”
“ I came with a picky eater and she gave 5 stars. it was perfect. needs an update but service was great and friendly. my food was very good. we would come again. ”
“ We have been back here several times since this last review. I just called them today 05/15/23, just to make sure they're open for business still, because of a post I read on Facebook. The Gentleman who answered the phone said someone is looking to buy the restaurant, but the deal hasn't gone through yet. I am going to be SO sad if Dixies closes. I love this family & I love their food! My friend Ed & I stop here to eat when we go to Florence. It is one of my most favorite places & has been for years! Today is probably the 6th time we have been back here, since my last review. It's an oft stopped at place for us, whenever we are on our way towards the coast. I don't know what we'll do if he ever retires or sells the place. I had the small breakfast today, 2 eggs, hashbrowns & sourdough toast. My dining partner had the Denver Omelette meal again. We adore this place. Best Coconut French Toast, you can find! Today though, I opted for the corn beef, hash & eggs. My dining partner had the denver omelette & he was super impressed. Today was his first time here. I have been going here for years. It's my hidden secret spot. I love the owners, so much. The food is super affordable, the quantity is hefty & they make a mean, hand dipped, chocolate malt. ”
“ We hesitated going here because of the lower rating but now we're glad we went. The food was hot and plentiful and very good. The service was great and friendly and the prices were great. As they say..."try it, you'll like it! ”
“ Love the owners. Heard they were looking to sell and retire in the near future. I have to admit, I’m glad they didn’t end up selling it to the buyer from the Eugene food truck. After seeing the way he was talking to the owners, intimidating them, and refusing to cooperate with things they were asking for in the sale... I would not have come back if they had sold it. ”
“ Always great service and food. Love breakfast there & like the lottery machines also!! Great coffee! The owners are great people! Nice area for gambling and really good pieces of pie to go or eat there. ”
